Using Tasti

Terms of use

Effective October 6, 2026

These terms govern access to Tasti’s website and iPhone app. By using Tasti, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with these terms.

Tasti is an evolving service. Features may change or become unavailable. We will update these terms when a material change calls for it.

Your account

You are responsible for activity associated with your account and for keeping access to your authentication provider secure. Provide accurate information and do not impersonate another person.

Tasti SMS verification

By entering your mobile number and tapping “Send verification code” or “Resend code” in Tasti, you agree to receive a verification text at the mobile number you provide. Tasti sends one code per request; additional codes are sent when you request a resend. These texts are for account verification only. Message and data rates may apply. Delivery may be delayed or unavailable.

Reply STOP to the Tasti signup/login sender to opt out of further texts from that sender. Reply START to re-enable texts, then request a new code in the app. Opting out can prevent phone signup or login until you re-enable delivery. Reply HELP for help, or email otie.net@gmail.com. For help with a one-time legacy account recovery code, contact the same support address. See our Privacy Policy for how mobile information is handled.

YouTube

Tasti uses YouTube API Services. By using Tasti, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. See our Privacy Policy for how Tasti and original source providers handle information.

Your content

You keep ownership of photos, notes, comments, and other content you create. You give Tasti permission to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate, improve, and protect the service according to your sharing choices.

Only upload content you have the right to use. You are responsible for the content you share and for respecting other people’s privacy.

Tasti respects copyright. If you believe material accessible through Tasti infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated agent:

Sending an infringement notice

Please include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature as the copyright owner or someone authorized to act for the owner.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list when several works at a single online site are involved.
  3. Identification of the material or link you want removed or disabled, with enough information to locate it in Tasti. Include an available link or identifying recipe, post, account, and date details; screenshots may help.
  4. Contact details sufficient to reach you, including your address, telephone number, and email address if available.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.

We act expeditiously on notices that meet the applicable legal requirements and may remove or disable access to the identified material. We take reasonable steps to notify the user who provided affected material. We may request missing information needed to assess a notice.

Sending a counter-notice

If your material was removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint and you believe that happened through mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice to the same agent. Include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the removed or disabled material and where it appeared before the action.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the removal or disabling resulted from a mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number; your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address, or, if outside the United States, a federal district where Tasti may be found; and your agreement to accept service of process from the original notice sender or its agent.

We forward a qualifying counter-notice, including its contact details, to the original notice sender. Under the DMCA procedure, we notify that sender that we will restore the material in ten business days and restore access between ten and fourteen business days after receiving the counter-notice, unless our agent receives notice that the sender has filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity. An independent legal or Terms violation may provide a separate reason to restrict the material.

Repeat infringement

Tasti’s policy provides for termination, in appropriate circumstances, of users who are repeat copyright infringers. We consider relevant complaint, counter-notice, and resolution history when applying this policy. We may also remove material or restrict access as otherwise permitted by these terms.

Acceptable use and community standards

Do not misuse Tasti, interfere with the service, access another person’s account or private content, scrape the service, upload harmful code, harass others, or use Tasti in violation of law or another person’s rights.

Do not share pornography, child sexual abuse or exploitation material, graphic violence, threats, hateful or discriminatory content, or another person’s private information without permission. Scams, spam, and content that encourages illegal or dangerous activity are not allowed.

To report a profile, tasting, or comment, open the person’s profile, open the ellipsis (•••) menu, and choose Report profile. Include enough detail to locate the content. You can also block that person from the same menu or contact support. Tasti may restrict or suspend accounts that violate these standards.

Food information

Tasti records personal experiences and community opinions. It does not provide medical, nutritional, allergy, or food-safety advice. Check ingredients and preparation directly when health or safety matters.

Tasti’s materials

The Tasti name, logo, design, software, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not grant permission to copy or commercially reuse them outside ordinary use of the service.

Availability and termination

Tasti may suspend access to protect people or the service, respond to misuse, or comply with law. You may stop using Tasti at any time, request deletion in the app under Feed → menu → Delete account (older versions: Profile → Privacy → Delete account), or ask for help through Support.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Tasti is provided “as is” and without a guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Tasti is not responsible for decisions you make based on another person’s tasting, recipe, or recommendation.

Changes

These terms may change as Tasti develops. Material updates will be reflected by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
